were hiding more paint chips and scratches. what a bitch.

What happens is when you detail your car you end up highlighting

the chips.

Gah!

I had an old Chevy wagon once, which, out of principle, I didn't wash or wax for over a year. I did go on plenty long distance trips with it, though. The car developed a really nice patina of baked-on mud and filth. Then, one day, when I finally washed (hadt to really scrub it!) the car, the finish looked just "a little" different compared to the year before... ;-)

Just buy some paint of your car color.

wipe off the nicks and dab a little of the paint in them. Let them dry and wipe them off a little with some thinner and then detail again.
