Default hmm you've got a FMIC and you're pinging still? that's no good.

have you checked your plugs to make sure they're in good condition? You're hearing the car ping regularly?

Default have you replaced the plugs at all? and is the pinging consistant from tank to tank?

reason why I ask is there are a lot of people running the X chip and most don't have continuing issues with pinging. The chip is designed to retard timing so that the car doesn't ping. Actually the factory car does that too. make sure you're running a minimum of 91 octane fuel and make sure you're not going to a generic gas station. Running 100 octane won't hurt the car, just your pocket book..

x-chip was supposedly tuned on 91 octane.

Default yes. it'll kill your cat. that program is forcing the engine to dump the extra octane.

you should only be running 91-93. some say it takes advantage of up to 95-96, but after running 93 and 100 octane on the dyno with the X chip - it provided no change in total power.
