Anybody need a 10" Boston sub for really cheap?
Found 1" of water in the basement, not more than an hour ago. Boston C110 was on the floor...I'm assuming the bottom piece of MDF is soaked, but the woofer (10" comp series) should be fine. If you can pick it up near Trenton or Princeton, I'll let you have it for a steal (almost). At the very least, you should be able to unscrew the sub from the box, and reuse it in another box. You'll probably be able to open it up and salvage the whole thing. Regardless, I've got an inch of water to clean up, and I've got a lot of wet stuff to deal with...time to go...
DAMN...my tools, brand new impact wrench, and cordless drill were all down there! The motors on both drills had water in them! :-( They are hanging from the ceiling drying as we speak!

LOL! Yeah, that's all I need!
Sump pump was there and working...just not at the time of the flood. I'm guessing the cord was draped over the floater arm, and it provided *just* enough weight to keep the floater from lifting. The second I touched the cord (I was reaching to unplug it) the pump started up! Son of a B)*&()&*^*^H!

Raj, sorry to hear about that..
My rule #1 is NEVER leave any tools on the floor. My garage tends to get a little water in the spring.
I bet if you get some electrical parts cleaner spray, and get it in there to move the water out your drills etc.. will be OK.. Just make sure you have them plugged into a citcut with a ground fault breaker the first time you try to use them ;-)

I was just talking to a coworker. His neighbor is a woodworker...lost ALL his tools. Drill chucks rusted through, gears rusted instantly...*shudder*. I'm afraid I'll just have to cross my fingers now. I'm stopping at Home Depot on the way home to pick up some metal shelving...that's the reason all this stuff was on the floor...no shelving. It's a start.
More rain on the way for the weekend...go figure. :-(
