How bad is it to pull the e brake a little around a turn to slide around a bit?

How bad is it to pull the e brake a little around a turn to slide around a bit?

I would think it shouldn't be that bad since all it does is activate your read brakes.

streaches the cable...wears rears...i ruined a set of calipers doing this somehow..*shrug* i dunno..

Default I'm sure the rear wheel bearings won't like that

... unless you do this on ice. ;-)

Default Raises a question I've had for some time....

I hear people concerned about drivetrain damage due to (spare) wheel size discrepency. Also, I understand that our AWD system is purely mechanical worm gear type that will transfer power "to those that grip" as quick as any. I've never done it, and always wondered: is it even possible with our system?

Please note that I acknowledge that my understanding (or lack of) of differentials is what is failing me.

I'd say that if the torsen has to compensate a lot and for a prolonged time, something in the torsen is bound to overheat and blow up.

Default ive you ebrake, wont it detect the rears as having more grip? since the fronts will seem to be spin

ning freely. that is, if you give it gas. what happens if you dont give gas?
