Default Sameer's T-28 post is what makes me just post summin stupid.

Anything I can write will pale in comparison...

I am just waiting for this friggin rain to end, So I can snap a few pics and make a real sig.

You have GOT to drive this friggin car. As Sameer said - it really is a beast. It is like someone unleashed some evil street racing villian under the hood. When I am driving normally I have to be gentle on the gas - for fear of awaking the beast. With slight pressure on the gas petal the boost starts in mid-2000rpms range, and I have full boost @ 3400rpms. At full boost it just does not seem like it could be the same car - it pulls HARD. The noise of the boost and the BPV are LOUD - anyone driving near me knows there is something going on under the hood. (as if the FMIC does not give it away...)

I am not saying that I should go hunt down Z06's, but this thing sure is a fast 4cyl. Brad is trying to convince me to attend Street wars this month at e-town. American Muscle vs. Imports... I will prolly get eaten up there He is not the only 600hp Ford preying on the Imports.

Sameer's post - Confessions of a Boost Junkie

Default I'm stilling waiting for his romance novels.

Seriously, I don't think it's a good idea for me to drive any T28'd car. I *will* try to convince myself to do it sooner than planned.

When I was driving behind you going up to Arthur's, I could hear it when you romped on it. It's not quiet.

American muscle v imports could be fun, but a few of those little Civics will blow you away. There was some GTi looking thing that was in the 10s the last time we went. Your car is fast and putting out a lot of power, but only compared to stock-stage 2 1.8Ts. Besides, I wouldn't want to abuse it for something that you know you probably wouldn't win. Now, take those same muscles cars and your car to Watkins Glen, you've got yourself a completely different outcome.

FYI - my car goes on the dyno tonight.

Default Brad was describing the brackets - I would be paired w/ comparable cars.

I just ordered the clutch - and have to install it and break it in anyway. Besides, I am not really that much into the drags... I would just love to get 1 good timeslip and then I will be done.

Maybe I just need a good kill and I will be content.

Default Oh, then go for it.

Are you doing the clutch install? If so, I definitely want to be there for that. I'd like to see why people who know how to work on cars give a clutch job to a mechanic. Me being one of those people :-)

Default Did you see the transmission jacks at the shop?

Put the car in the air - take out a bunch of bolts, then then the transmission jack carefully lowers the trannie with the twist of the magic handle. Really easy with a lift and the right tools. Just time consuming.

On jack stands it is a PITA...

Default Dude, I am there if you do a clutch install.

And I WILL stay the night if I have to. :-)

I may want to do a flywheel upgrade...sometime. ;-)
