Driver's side view mirror all rusted...

<center><img src="http://www.transit7.com/images/us/audi/new_lights_new_grill8.jpg"></center><p>Has this ever happened to anyone?
I can't even use it now, the whole mirror has developed some sort of rust behind the glass and its all brown.
Whats the best thing to do?

The only thing to do is replace the mirror glass. For the regular non self dimming ones,

they are not terribly expensive, and are easy to change.

It's happened to lots of folks...takes about 2 minutes to remove and replace

Yep - I upgraded to the kind that has the thermal sensor and the wide viewing angle
