Door handles

Does anybody know if the outside door handles from a Golf or Jetta are the same as on a 87 Quattro?

To my knowledge and experience(which is very limited), I believe they are, if they are from the same year. Correct me if im wrong!!

Don't think so

Now, I know the handles for my 85 GTI weren't the same as my 4kq with power locks. I don't know if the power to power handles will work though. I know taking them out involves pulling the door panel and disconnecting the rods. What's your specific problem?

I just picked up an 87 4000 Quatro and both rear door handles are missing the levers to open the doors. I saw some rear handles on ebay for a Golf or Jetta and was wondering if they would fit?

Well

You're better off visiting the local U-Pullit yard to see if they match correctly. You don't know what you'll get online.

Thanks for the info, I am a first time Audi Owner (many, many Vdubs) and this forum is great. You guys seem to know all the little quirks. Now if I can find a good junk yard around NJ I will be all set!
