Default Apex or H&R ???

Hey guys...I'm a proud new owner of an 86 Coupe GT...I love it to death already. I'm a little confused on what springs to get for it.

First off...does the 86 Coupe GT have a type 81 or 85 chassis?? Second...would I be able to use springs for either type??

It seems that Apex only makes springs for a type 81 and H&R makes them for a type 85....Please help me...

Default No Apex!!!!!!!!No way!!!! TERRIBLE!!

Apex sucks in my opinion, I have a distributor account with them, they have the worse customer service ever, I work for an automotive company with about 120 locations nationwide, I have an 87 CGT, and a Volvo 850, Those guys at Apex told me they would have springs for my Volvo in stock in 2 to 3 weeks, and those bastards still dont have them in stock 9 weeks later!!!!yes, 9 weeks, and they have no reason, um "the conatiner is in customs", we unload 2 to 3 overseas containers a week, and we have never had a conatiner held up for more than 4 days where i work, also, they lower the car like 2", which i think may be a little steep for me, i am looking into getting a set from GPR, they lower like an inch to inch and 1/4, they run 209, and they are progressive instead linear, so you dont sacrifice ride comfort, this is my 2 cents, but either way you go, please post to hear some added info!!!! So if I understand correctly, the CGT is a Type 81 chassis...since H&R only provides springs for the Type 85 chassis. Is that assumption correct??

Default Dunno, but--

I don't know the chassis types, that sort of thing never stuck in my brain. Not necessarily, as the H&R listings will SHOW a CGT on Blau's web page, but the part number is not currently available.
Eibach also makes springs for the CGT, you may want to check that out. Generally good quality, though consensus seems to be the H&Rs are the absolute best.

CGT's are type 85, I'm still waiting on my H&R's to come in to Blau.
