1983 4000 for $500...good deal?
It has some rust on the driver's side fender, and the clear coat is peeling a bit on the hood.
The owner wasn't home, so I wasn't able to test drive it; but there was a sign in the windshield that said "feel free to start the engine", so I did (the key was in the ignition switch), it started right up.
Is there anything that I should look out for on this model/vintage Audi?
It's gonna have the 83-84 VW GTI engine, which is fairly solid. Be prepared though, the rest of the car will suck your wallet dry if you are looking for tight handling, good damping and decent stopping. There's so much that needs replacement on an older car...
