Not Cancelling

I have an Italvolanti(did i spell that right mik?) Steering wheel setup, and it uses two metal pegs for the cancelling switch.. anyway, this week it started to not cancel when i turn left. Sometimes it works, and it ALWAYS works when i turn the streeting wheel so much that the pegs hit the canceller twice, as if sometimes one click isn't enough.. when i turn right it's like normal what's going on? does it maybe need some type of lubing?

I'm going to pull the steering wheel tomorrow or the next day what should i look for?
