Side mirror replacement
I need to replace a cracked driver side mirror, I can get the entire mirror housing off the door, I was curiouse if it is possible to replace just the glass? Any input would be appreciated. Thanx.

I don't think the glass is sold seperately, though you could probably have some cut to fit.
I would think a used mirror would be about the same price, though. And the glass on my car is tinted, where most 'mirrored' replacements I've seen would not be.

I tried to take a set of mirrors off a 4000 which had a picture posted of earlier. Couldnt figure out where that long "cable" or whatever went to. I liked the fact that it had that blueish tint to it.

Remember, these are heated mirrors (at least on my 4kq) with wires coming from it. The glass can be replaced separately, just pry it out (carefully). You'll need to get one from the local u-pullit or Shokan.

hello,if u turn the mirror up to max,youll see an white ring under the mirror-glass.The ring holds the mirror and its an bajonet-type.U push the ring left or right,dont remember whith....
