Molding removal 4000...
Therefore I will not really be able use heat to soften the adheasive behind the molding to remove it...
Anyone have any good ideas on how to remove the trim without heat. Do I really need heat anyways?
I'm not so much worried about damaging the car as I am about damaging the trim...
Thanks!

Some type of rigid wire, like piano wire. Get it started behind one edge of the molding and just draw it along behind. Should come off relatively easy. Be very careful to keep the molding from bending as it has a metal band molded into it, and once bent they don't like to go straight again.
Once off, clean the backside completely (I use a die grinder with a 3M cookie pad) and re-glue with 3M trim adhesive specifically made to do this. Using the wrong adhesive tape will get you a molding that will fall off, believe me. 3M may mean 3x the money but their stuff works!
