hesitation

hesitation

I don't know what it is but it just started tonight. Whenever i accelerate the car has heavy hesitation, when it gets up to speed it kinda shakes and feels like the tires have no traction even on dry ground. I think it might just be some bad gas but have you guys ever run into this problem?

YEA AS SOON AS RAN SOME BP GAS THROUGH MY RIDE ENDING UP REPLACING FUEL FILTERS AND INJECTORS BECAUSE THAT ICE GAURD SH*T melted the needle portion of the injector

so never the less i do not put bp gas in any german car now!! so more than likely it sounds to me like you got some bad fuel or even a pluged filter or injector. if you remove the fuel lines from the injectors there shouldl be a little steel mesh filter check it to see if is clean of debris (small rust particles etc.) also you didn,t lose a foil protection cap when adding any additives to your fuel ?

I haven't added any additives to the fuel lately

I also noticed that my exhaust is disconnected right after the catilytic converter could that be what is causing the problem?

What are some symptoms of bad gas?

My 86 had this

A couple years ago I thought I had bad gas...and I mean REALLY bad gas. Hesitation, backfiring, black smoke, no power etc. So, after a couple days of this, I gave up trying to find the problem and took it in. Guess what? It seems I had a hole on the passenger side in that little area where the intake is for the HVAC. Over time it dripped down, directly onto the wires for my CPU located next to the glovebox. The water travelled along and collected INSIDE my CPU case...8oz worth! The *genius* mechanic actually poured all that water out in front of me...what a shock! New (used) CPU from Shokan and I was good as new.

This probably isn't your problem, but thought everyone might want to know about this veeeeeery strange incident.
