head comin off tonite. any tricks or snags I should know about?
Checking for bent valves/bad clearance. its an 84 5000T head serial ending in 323AB.
should i replace head bolts/studs? I have the torque specs in the maintenece manuals and Im gonna try and bring it out with the intake in 1 piece.
It will be well documented with pictures so it goes back together nice.

Thoroughly document your timing marks
Document the cam vs crank/flywheel vs dist positions all the gears and marks before you take anything apart. Make sure you understand where EXACTLY the marks align.

technically should use new bolts
Studs would obviously be ideal.
Don't forget the tightening order and procedure.
