Bill Z cat Short Shifter install

Has any one else installed one yet?
I'm embarrassed to say I just got around to (first) install on my UrQ. I noticed that the interference on 1/3/5 shifts is not the tranny tunnel, but the trim of the shifter surround. The shifter fork from the tranny has and "odd" shape. The "U"shaped receiver is not a uniform shape. The top side of the fork flanges are circular on the top or up side and when you reposition the flange to meet the shifter collar, the hump of the circular flange hits the shifter surround on all forward shifts. I think it will be a simple matter to trim the shifter fork flange. Any BTDT?

I didn't have that problem.

But I didn't raise the attachment point very far from stock. I wasn't after a shorter throw, I was just looking to replace all those worn out plastic parts. Works great with no interference.

I really wanted to get one of James' Audi Sport replicas, but the cost was prohibitive. I'm trying to save up for a repaint.

Interesting. My linkage didn't seem worn at all. Really looking for more direct feel and shorter throw. I trimmed the tranny arm a bit and probably got 2/3 of max adjustment. When I have more time, I'll trim more if necessary.
