Dealer told me they cant special order 2003 Avants anymore? Production only avail?

I was about to order a 3.0 Avant, Atlas, Sport, 6 speed and my dealer does not believe he can get anything not allready in production. Is that true? Perhaps I should wait 2 months and order a 2004. That is what I am thinking of? I wonder what the changes will be?

Exactly a year ago, my Passat order was cancelled due to the end or the model year. 2004 is far off.

Yes. There is a downtime while the factory changes over for the next years production.

Dealer should have order guides in the next 3 to 5 weeks.

I might wait - every 2 years they usually update a few things.

You might get more HP, new headlights, bumpers, etc.

It is a blend - Lose heated rear seats gain leather. Lose alum trim get power seats.

And if you are getting a 3.0 you are more likely going to pick up stuff then lose stuff. They cut costs on the base model to keep the price down.
