Default So what insurance co should my family and I go with?

Get this. Our current insurance provider, Esurance.com, is pulling out of Florida completely. It kind of sucks because they were good and MUCH cheaper (according to my dad) than anybody else around. Well, now that they'll be leaving, we need a new provider. I've been told Progressive is good. Here in lies the problem though, my dad has to insure a 49 year old man, my mom (age in the 40s), me (a 19 year old guy) and my brother (a 17 year old guy). We all have clean records but drive the following cars:

2003 Lexus LS430
2003 Lexus RX300
2003 Audi A4 1.8T CVT
2002 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0

Bottom line, it costs a lot no matter what, but we were looking for the cheapest provider out there that's still "appropriate" and that the auto financing companies will "accept". Please advise. Oh, and my dad says that if he joins a "federal credit union", the insurance could get a discount. And we know about good student discount, etc.

So who should we go with? Progressive, Geico, ?

Default I have Progressive and I'm very satisfied with them

They handled my claims perfectly and their rates are reasonable I tihnk. I'm in Texas and me and my wife are both 26 so that might be different than some teenagers.

I've had two claims with them so far, on was my fault that just got cleared from my records, the other one was an uninsured motorist totaled my wife's car. They handled both cases extremely well and they were very fair. I give them two thumbs up! I've been with them for 4 years now and I'm not planning on changing.

Default Try Geico... Re: So what insurance co should my family and I go with?

I got a great deal with them for my car. $1200/yr FULL coverage for everything incl the goodies. If you get added on to your Parents you should get a better than average deal since you mention y'all have good records. Try their website. However, irrespective of good records for you and your brother, age is a major issue! Insurance companies don't care, they r worried about the potential. Also, you have access to the Lexus cars! Ask for discounts!

Default Ive had Progressive before.. now on Allstate...

I was in a accident about 4 years ago with Progrssive as my insurance.. they suck at claims.. and they are a "B" insurance provider.. I dont know about your current insurance, but Allstate, State Farm and such are Class "A" insurance..IMO, the claims and such are handled much much better than Progressive.. its just my personal experience,b ut Ill never go with Progressive again...

Contact Herb Schultz @ 954-370-1500 hes my agent... great guy... and tell him the Lee family sent ya.... good luck...

Yeh but I've heard Allstate and State Farm have NO shame when insuring teens (ie paying 10k/year)

Default maybe you adn your dad should get separate policies..

I always had a separate policy since I was 16, was cheaper for my whole family... maybe you shoudl go with Progressive, but your parents may save some $$ with Allstate ... get a quote.. that wont cost ya anything ...

Try 21st Century. Allstate/State Farm is expensive for under 21.
