Audi street racing is fun! But dangerous. Why don't they have more 1/4 mile tracks to race at?

Audi street racing is fun! But dangerous. Why don't they have more 1/4 mile tracks to race at?
With all of the movies about street racing and all of the current tuner hype why doesn't someone capitalize on this and open up a few tracks to race at.
It could be like a sporting event, serve food & beer, tuners could represent, and they could charge $5 a person to get in. I'd pay.
That said, I would hire real cops to keep things under control and I would give every drive a breath test before he drove off the lot to make sure he/she was legal. So if you want to get drunk you can't race or drive your car home. (That will protect the event so they don't get blamed for promoting drinking and driving.) As for everyone else - it would be like any other sporting event.

You should look in your area for a sports car club. Many of them organize SOLO 1 and 2 events....
Some clubs have advance driving schools. You may even be able to go at some track day event. Check out the SCCA site, maybe they can give you more info on a club in your area.

Check out our website (teamtoyo.com) and look under Take it to the Track.....
there will be a list of track in your area that offer drag racing programs. But the main reason is something called liability insurance and $$ to build the track in the first place.
