APR Chip
Took the plunge and got chipped this week. APR now uses port programming which is very fast and convenient.
Anyway, I have a 2003 1.8TQM and the difference is quite significant. I'm not sure I understand some of the posts I've read that indicate it's not that big of a difference or that it's still a slow car after the upgrade. My past two cars were also chipped so I'm not a newbie showering compliments on a minor performance difference.
I estimate that it drops the 0-60 to the mid 6's given Audi/VW's historically very conservative in- house numbers of stock being 7.9.
It makes you wonder why Audi doesn't address the issue by not jumping the hp and torque up on their 1.8T. Maybe they haven't noticed the horsepower war that is underway.

After a few months the power gains seem to wear off a bit...
Even in chipped mode I find the low end zip to be pretty poor. Unless you want to push the rpms into the mid 5000 range, the gains are pretty conservative.

Ofcourse, then you need to switch back to stock and drive it for a little while to remind -m-
yourself what the stock engine felt like before you had it chipped. LoL. It's an eye-awakening experience. I think all who are chipped should switch back once in a while... IMO.

I would like to see the dyno for APR Stage 1+
I got Stage 1+ done last week and for some reason I don't think the car is pushing 215/250 as the APR website advertises ... the file is SO SMOOTH ... I wonder if it is really pushing 215/250 ...I had to spend an extra 500$ on injectors so it better be putting 215/250!!!!!!!
I am going to have a dyno of my setup soon ... I also had the Neuspeed turbo-back installed .... very very nice system. Not a single problem and the sound is awesome!
