why a car bra is your friend

so i went on a little road trip yesterday, about 160 miles each way. As always, I put my colgan bra on for these trips. Man, talk about feeling reassured every time i take the thing off. It's much easier to clean this crap off the bra than it is to get if off of the bumper and hood. There's more on the grille and hood, but the pic didn't come out well.

How easy/hard is it to add/remove each time? How much time does it take?

How does it attach? I've never owned a bra, but I'm thinking about getting one for my wife's CLK 430.

you know you could use some scotchguard 3m tape.. thats what i use

first time it was a bit tough cuz you have to stretch it out, but then its easy.

I'd say the first time it was like 15-20 minutes, but now it's 5 minutes easy. Taking it off is like 2-3 minutes.

On the A4, there are 4 latches. 2 that go down the length of the hood and hook into a hole, 2 that go across the hood which i connect to the metal hood latch.

The bottom piece has clips that hook into different parts of the bumper.

I'd definitely recommend the Colgan bras btw. they're like $90 at autoanything.com

you put tape on the bumper?? doesn't that f-up the finish?

I personally think the clear bras are better...

I have a colgan bra for my wife's car and its great but i only but it on if the car is clean. It becomes a pain if you don't have time to wash your car before you put it on or just a drive to go to the store. I have the clear bra for my 3.0 and I would buy another one in a heartbeat. It protects it any time and any day even if its dirty. If you have the funds its an awesome investment. I had it installed the day after delivery and no regrets. Just my .02 cents.
