my tranny broke :(

Default my tranny broke :(
i've had my baby for 15 months. she started making a loud knocking noise last week. the dealer ordered a new transmission for me. he said i brought her in just time...she barely runs now.

has anyone else had or heard of this problem?

Default stick or tip?
My friend has a 2002 1.8T Jetta with a Tip and the tranny is going on that one too.

not really. i also think the 3rd gear syncho is going on my 6-spd. =/

I've got 36K and everything seems fine (6spd), so hopefully it's an isolated thing.
