Default need your input: clear bra or no

I just picked up my black 1.8T, and i'm trying to decide if i should have clear bra done. i looked at some pictures, the clear bra lines are pretty obvious. by putting on clear bra, wouldn't it look like adding permanent scratches to the car?

how many here decided against clear bra because they think the bra will make their car look worse?

clear bra pictures

Default i decided not to, cause i found it was highly visible and changes color over time...

i have a few small road chips here and there and id much rather just touch it up then put like plastic tape all over my car....

oh and are you painting your lowers ?
cause as of now they are gray plastic right ?

so you really have no need for it there

Default It is true you can see the line sometimes especially with certain colors but I can.....

tell you I have it and I think it is better then the alternatives out there and it saved my a$$ on more then one occasion.

Default I diagree with the changing color thing, maybe there are different quality bras on the market.....

But I never had that problem on my previous car and it was on the car for 3 1/2 years. Also depending what climate you live in, stone chips can get ugly pretty fast in a salty environment.

what are the alternatives? the only one i can think is to repaint the whole car after maybe 3 years. that cost $3-4k?

Default plastic...

but i thought stone chip still shows on the plastic, and certainly any painted areas above the bumper.

Default Yes they do, this summer I had both my front and side skirts from my Caractere kit repainted....

And those had been removed for the winter.
