Default ok, after the filter debacle yesterday, i have a VALID poll/question this time

Ok fellas, i was saving up for a Charactere front bumper along with painting the lowers but something has swayed me.

I saw Hyperspeed's HU and i fell in love. However, in order to do this project, i will have to postpone the body till i can save up again. I like both, but i'd like some opinions from the group to determine what i should save my money towards

I hope you don't mind me borrowing your pix Hyperspeed

or the Charactere bumper and painted lowers:

borrowed from LLTEK's site

and here's how it stands now:

Default Body kit

only you can determine if looking good is more valuable than in car entertainment. I've got the ipod with 6,000 tunes for all music all the time. . . . so bodykit would win out over upgrading head unit and/or tv. . . .

plus, video in car is just plain stoopid IMO

Default I personally would say go with the stereo....

i'm somethhing of a stereo nut, so i've gotten more into that with my car and i've been very happy with the results. thats not to say i don't love my ultrasport front and painted lowers, but i like the stereo more (and i did the whole install myself, so there's some pride involved too)

i do have the fear that i'll look down to the screen too often instead of concentrating on the road

Default Do you have teh Bose?

Turbo flipper has good point with regard to music. I make the distinction between music and video . . . .audio upgrade is great, video. . . . well, as i said before I just don't see the point.

Default no, but i have a JL 500.1 amp powering an Alpine Sub and thats it for sound thus far

So far, it's more than meeting my current expectations as far as music goes. i also have an Archos 20gb MP3 player that i hook up when i get tired of listening to my cds. i'm just looking for something new and fresh

Default hehe nice pics ; ) i say

that u should do whats more important to u. if u think that having a nice exterior would make u happier, then do that. but then again if u think that it would be better to have something to entertain you while stuck in traffic and what not, then go for the head unit.

personally i think that its worth more to entertain myself rather than other people around me on the outside of the car. of course i went with kit and what not before upgrading audio.. but id do it the other way around if i could... thers just something about spending money for my own sake rather than for other peoples sakes.
