$10K price increase over what I paid for my '02!!!!!
I paid $32K, equivalent '05 will be $42K...OUCH!
I really can't believe that A4's increased this much in 2.5 years without any changes! Plus they are decontented. I have heated rear seats.

$10k increase? I find that very difficult to believe that you're comparing apples to apples...
My '01 2.8 had a sticker price of $39,460k, and my '04 3.0 had a sticker price of $42,305k - MSRP, of course.
Factoring the leather and sport seats $1,820 out of the 2.8 is basically a wash for the ultrasport (less sport kit) and XM Radio in the 3.0 - $1,850.
When comparing apples to apples, the difference in the cars was $2,600. Not bad if you ask me - a completely new model three years later. Off the top of my head, that $2,600 got me 30hp, immobilizer anti-theft, more interior room, remote trunk, seat memory, compass mirror, and probably a bumch of other crap I'm missing.
No offense, but I just dont buy a $10k increase.
