Default suggestions on Suspension lowering (sport)...

I have an 02 w/out Sport (should have gotten it originally) and want to lower the suspension a bit. Just looking for overall nicer look and to tighten up the ride. I posted to other forums but no responses.

Just looking for a popular setup people are using/happy with. So far, I see the 3 most popular are
- H&R Sport w/ Koni
- H&R SPort w/ Bilstein
- Eibach pro w/ Koni

Interestingly I asked the dealer and they told me the OEM sport springs are Eibachs...

I'm leaning towards H/Koni's but wasn't sure about ride quality.

Looking to add 18x8 or 8.5's after the suspsension upgrade too.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again!

Default I think those will all give you a fairly similar drop. . . . .

The konis are nice b/c they have adjustable dampening so you can fine tune how stiff or soft the ride is. On the other hand, the bilsteins have adjustable front perches so you can do some small adjustments to your front ride height. I would personally go with the eibachs over the h&r b/c eibachs have 1.8t or 3.0 specific springs to compensate for the weight differences while the h&r dont. this has been the problem with h&r springs. another spring to consider is the neuspeed sport spring, but i think itll give you a little more lowering.

hope this helps

Default Go with Eibachs/Konis....

I went from non-sport too. The drop is just right and there is no rubbing with my 19x8.5s Ride quality is fine too.

The Eibach Pro-Kit springs drop .75" more than the OEM sport springs.

A lot of people have Neuspeed Sport, myself included. Neuspeed lowers more though.

Thx. Nice ride! ...Interesting - Dealer insisted the OEM sports were the Eibach Pro

BTW, Love the wheels - how do you like them? Any issues? Seem to be very reasonable $ vs BBS

Default Thank you...its a slowww process ;) Eibach Pro and OEM are not the same.

You can even tell by comparing some pictures.

Default I love 'em...while they are not forged, they have held up extremely well.

With the $ I saved vs. the BBS, I am going to put that into some nice Defi gauges.

Consider some new sway bars as well.
