Those with e-codes...S4 or not...question
I'm having some trouble adjusting mine. It seems like whenever you adjust them side-to-side it also changes the height. Then, when I get them back down low enough, the bottom of the high beam lens is too close to the housing, and restricts the movement of the auto-leveler at startup. Also, the don't seem to move as much on startup as the OEM lights did. Is that normal?
Does anyone have any tips/suggestions, or has maybe run into this problem before.

to adjust height . . . .
i loosen the two top bolts and i use the adjustor screw on top of the headlight to adjust for height. my adjusttor screw is in almost all the way, just like my stock lights were.
i dont know what u mean my side to side adjustment, can u explain that!

If you look behind the headlight, there are two adjusters....
that are white, and can either take a phillips screwdriver or 6mm allen wrench. The inner one is supposed to adjust the height of the lights, and the outer one is supposed to adjust how they aim from left to right. (more towards each other or further apart on the road). That's the one that's giving me problems because it seems like it changes the height as well.

ohhhh, i didnt know that!
so adjusting the lights is a lot harder than i thought. i was advised by the retailer of the ecodes to go to the dealer and have then aligned properly. i just left the white screws they way they were then i got them on my ecodes and ive justt been adjusting the screw on top of the lights, it seems to be ok.

Wait till the night and point light at object farther away. you might have it turned to far. Also check if that white ball thing hasn't popped loose.

You always need to adjust the way the lights are aimed.
Plus, I bought them used...so who knows what the guy who owned them before me did to them...lol. They are in mint condition, but I don't think he knew how to adjust them and just turned all the screws every which way and messed them all up.

i had the dealer adjust mine...
but each time i take them out to replace a bulb or when i got the front lip on....they screw up again...so for now...until i'm ready..i just drive around getting high beamed
