Please help with a cigarette burn problem!
Hi guys, I know I shouldn't be smoking in the car, but I was half asleep in the middle of a traffic and I smashed my cigarette to the sunroof sliding interior thingy (headliner, is it called?), thinking my sunroof was open (I always open it prior to smoking to ash it). I have a huge black whole and I would like to know how to fix it. Can you replace that part without replacing the whole sunroof? If so, how much would it cost? Should I goto the dealer? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

As for the smoking comments below...
the purpose of life is not to arrive at the grave with a perfectly perserved body; but rather to come skidding in sideways; screaming "what a hell of a ride!". Smoke if you want to; NO ONE GETS OUT ALIVE, ANYWAY! As for you sunroof, check some local salvage yards.

Give the guy a break! It is bad enough that he has a burn hole without everyone ragging on him!
He asked a question on AudiWorld and is getting relies from WebMD. I am sure the European readers on this forum are asking WFT is wrong with these Americans. Live and Let Live! Just because everyone is not of the same mind as you does not make them wrong. The intolerance of others is getting to be a real disease in the US and we need to STOP as long as it does not directly involve you!

But I am gonna bag on you for being in the wrong forum! heh. Try the A4 96-01 B5 forum instead. I imagine you can replace just the liner though the labour to remove it may be expensive.
