basically, yes. They will refuse repairs and it's up to you to prove the chip didnt cause it...
if you would like to ever have them cover the repair or receive reimbursement...unless you have a nice dealer. cheers! Mike

I don't think the majority of people that have chipped their cars have not had any issues....more
I have a GIAC chip on my car and it is removal. I remove it prior to my visits to the dealership. I have not had a problem at all.

depends on your dealer
some don't really care and won't give you sh*t, others are hardcore and won't budge an inch from AoA regulations...you just kinda have to feel it out and see if your dealer is ok...don't ask on the forum though, most folks won't post their dealers because they don't want to get the dealer in trouble if they are mod friendly...

I don't know if they are all removeable but mine is. I had a rough idle so, I took the chip..
out and brought it to the dealer and told them about the problem. They fixed it. So make sure you take out the chip before going in to see the dealer.

I had turbo replaced under warranty, was chipped at the time. No mention from them.
Problem was due to oil pump failure...but still no mention of chip. Went in numerous times for service, not mentioned once by them.
So, yes, I believe it depends on the dealer...and what the problem really is.
I consider myself lucky.
