Avant owners, do you know if the B5 roof rack will work on the B6 roof rails? Thanks.

I would think it should. Only difference I can think of might be width
of the roof - so different distance between the rails. If the rack system allows for some slight differences it should be fine.
I use a Thule rack system for my B6 Avant. The 'feet' lock onto the roof rails and the bars lock to the feet. But there is the ability to move the bar back and forth within the feet to adjust it. I set the feet and bars and then cut the bars to limit overhang (rear bar is shorter than the front due to the width of the roof narrowing as it travels back)
Does it look something like this? Or a different system?
