Why do 18"ers look too small to some on the B6 platform cars?

Why do 18"ers look too small to some on the B6 platform cars?

This is what I now have on my B6 A4...but it looks small in some respects...on the B5 A4/S4 this wheel looks mean. I don't want to go to 19" wheels for lots of reasons...cost, cost of tires, pothole damage, theft potential...etc.

As soon as you lower it, it'll look amazing...trust me...with that ride height it will look small..
because of how the body is in relation to the wheels, looks really detached from the rest of the car. Lower it, and I promise you'll be extremely happy with the look. I went the opposite way first, had suspension installed, and then 18's, and I'm telling you, it look absolutely wonderful. 19's without a body kit looks a little odd, and besides, you're a baller anyway, you got HRE's!!
