Shifter getting stuck

Shifter getting stuck
I was sitting at the light today and I was just wiggling the shifter back and forth, and I would pull it to the right, like I was to go into first and let go, but the shifter would stay in the same spot. I did it about 10 times and still stays stuck, it would move with alittle tap, but I dont know why it would get stuck, any info on this.

I posted this a few days ago on Audizine....
My 6 speed does the same thing every so often, before and after SS install.
I am not sure, but it may be related to moisture, I havent found much of a pattern yet. Any ideas on what grease to use on the ball joint?
