Default Didn't get any response over the weekend, so I'll try again...

I'm considering a B5 S4 caliper upgrade, but the ones I'm interested have about 80k miles of usage. Should I be concerned? I know people have said that they are a "direct bolt-on," but does that the calipers just bolt up to the existing factory parts, and that there are no other parts to buy?

I've also been told by some B5'ers that HP2's suck compared to the B6 S4. If this is the case, should I even bother? The B6 S4 brakes are $$ compared to the B5 S4 brakes.

Default You need the rotors as well.

Not to mention the pads. I got SS lines from a B5 S4 and they were a direct bolt on. Didn't try it with the stock lines, but I am willing to bet some have. I wouldn't blow the dough on the B6 S4 brakes. For what some of those guys are raping people for them, you might as well go buy a real BBK.

Default well, you'll need rotors too of course.

It will be better than your OEM A4 brakes. The B5 S4 brakes are dual piston and slightly larger.
