Default Brakes?

Now approaching 60K I thought it was time to upgrade the brakes. Originally I thought big brake kit but could not justify 2k if I am not going to put the car on the track often if not at all. So I decided on the stoptech stage two kit which is new slotted rotors front and back ss lines pads and motul 600 fluid. Would this be my best bet or could I upgrade to s4 brakes through the dealer.

Default Stoptech BBK would be less than upgrading to S4 brakes thru the dealer!

I'd go with 3.0 brake upgrade. You don't need SS lines.

http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engine=1.8T&mod el=B6%2

Default your best bet would be to find a used set of B5 S4 brakes

there's always some for sale through the classified section. Just gotta be patient to find the right deal for you.

I recently did this upgrade and it's worth every penny. Also, if you're not going to track, i would skip on the Motul 600 fluid. The Motul Dot 5.1 fluid should be more than plenty for you.

here's some pics of my install

To be honest Im not a big used parts fan, so do you think I would be good with this kit.

Default the Stoptech kit?

isn't that like $1800??

you know, if you're never going to track you car, you should look into just upgrading your pads and fluid. that can make a big difference.

I am looking into the stage two kit which I can get shipped for like 600.00 It includes fluid pads ss lines and slotted rotors front and back. They are the stock sized rotors.

Default i'd skip on that

check out www.ecstuning.com. They have some great options to upgrade brake components for cheaper than that. SS lines are really not necessary unless you're really going to push your brakes hard.

Used but excellent condition. I am about to order OEM rotors from ECS and hawk pads. Total I will spend around 550. you can go this option or what Jeff mentioned, either way you can't go wrong.
