Default Update of APR Stage 1+ loss of boost

Yesterday I went to the performance shop that installed the software and injectors on my 2002 1.8T (the guys at GMP Performance in Charlotte are awesome!) to pull the codes and clear the CEL. The code indicated a lean fuel mixture and was easily cleared. On the way home the boost was back and all was great. After driving about 30 miles the CEL returned and boost was gone. I went back today to get it cleared again. This time the GMP tech called APR when checking my car to get any insight into the issue. Seems this is not the first time this issue has been encountered. APR indicated that they were scanning their code to see if there are any errors. I appreciate their response and attempt to get to the bottom of the issue. I feel confident that this problem will get resolved soon.

Default seems like this is happening a lot to 2002 cars

But you're in a TT correct? Keep us posted here on this thread. I've been looking to upgrade to 1+ v.2 but a series of low or no boost problems just after install has kept me from doing so. There a lot of guys reporting this. Are you also using the new APR injectors for your application? Was there also a software update for your car?

I'm in Charlotte and have dealt with GMP as well. Danny is usually pretty good about doing things right. Glad they're working with APR on this.

Good luck, and keep us informed.

I have a 2004 TT also, but this issue is with my 2002 A4 1.8T. I did get the new APR injectors with the software. Danny is working hard to make things work. APR and GMP are gonna make it right.

Default Not sure if mine is totally fixed to be honest..(more)....

I mention from my earlier post that the guys at the Streetwerke facility found the ruptured vaccum hose which was causing erradic boost & limp mode on my car....that was replaced last night with a temporary hose and everything was running well again after they cleared all the error codes.

But earlier today on my way to the shop to have the factory hose be installed,..I got a CEL again...boost was going on & off again..we checked if the temporary hose failed but this time its intact..They replaced the hose with the factory one anyway and check the error codes...and Yes , mine saids that its running lean also...They're still not sure whats causing it...their guessing that it might be the MAF getting fouled up because I have a K&N drop filter in the car..But I'm not having these CEL problems when my car had the Neuspeed chip.???

After they clear the codes ...I drove the car home tonight and plan to keep driving it to work and home this whole week and see how it goes...hopefully no more hiccups cause when the APR stage1+ is on dial with the car,it runs awesome....If I get a CEL again..we'll probaby end -up have the shop do diagnostic.

Default Which injector do you have. If you have the monster 550CC from stage 3 here is some advice.

Pull them and put TT injectors in tell APR and the car will be in good shape.

Or you can always go through the process of finding leaks that lead to the leaning, then oh it must be the MAF and so on and so on.

550CC APR injectos and the O2's do not seem to like each other..

Just my thoughts.
