B5 S4 brakes

What is a good price for a set of used calipers and rotors? How much do the rotor screws cost if they are not included?

anywhere from $150 to $250 depending on condition

i would think you'd be able to pick up the lugs from the dealer for like $5-10.

how much do you think its for a brand new set? or are they in short supply now?

I had heard that the HP2 system used on the B5s is the same system that Audi is using on the B7s. Not sure of how true this is but if it were the case then the calipers should not be in short suuply.

it is true, they are using the B5 S4 brakes in the B7s. AW's front page article has a nice summary.

Totally forgot about that. I will look into this.

Ced, been so busy... I was going to take out my 19s over the weekend and prep them for mounting anyway so I was going to measure the cap size and then call Steve.

Thanks again for the info. I am most likely going to get the same color config. I think it will match the silver on the car/polished wheel lip well.

I think about $800 per side, may as well go with Stoptech or Brembo for that price

Incorrect.

They are not B5 S4 calipers on the B7's.

Well, the AW article is not clear then....

I should have mentioned that only the front brakes are the same...(acc. to the article)...my bad.

Here is a quick overview...

Brakes

With bigger engines Audi reached into its parts box and pulled out the B5 platform S4 brakes for the front of the B7 A4. The A4's rear brakes have also been improved over the B6.
