A4 (B6 Platform) Discussion Discussion forum for the B6 Audi A4 produced from 2002-2005

Are S4 Bi-Xenons 'Plug-and-Play' with my '02 A4? If so, where's a good place to score them? TIA!

Default yes they should be plug and play (though find out if your lights connect D1S or not)

and as for where to get 'em, there's a few places...Achtuning stocks them, LLtek has them (though there have been some issues with LLtek shipping out british spec lights that are aligned reverse to how they should be aligned here in the states), Epimporters has them (though they're a bit pricey imho), and there's always ebay germany if you're so inclined....this is of course assuming you want ecodes and not DOT spec lights...if DOT spec lights are what you want, i'm sure any dealer could get you the housings...for a cost of course

Great info, thanks! Is D1S connection based on VIN?

Default to be brutally honest, couldn't tell ya...easiest way to tell is to see how your bulbs connect

iirc, D1S bulbs have a square or rectangular connector, whereas the other type would have a circular connector..you may want to try a search or call whoever you choose to buy from (assuming you go for a tuning shop)..they'd be able to put you in the right direction...haven't gone for ecodes yet myself, so I couldn't tell you my experiences...that is a mod i'm considering down the road though...best of luck!

Default Will be plug and play, but ...

the pass side wiring harness will be too short to reach the light as the housing is larger and the connection moves it further away from the original. Either pull on the wiring harness or have an extensions made. I have mine pulled, but is very tight. Probably not the best idea. And on the driver side, you will need to relocate some wires out of the way to fit the light. Again a tight fit due to the bigger housing, but will fit.
