How I spent my afternoon

even after washing there were still defects to be taken care of. There was a mysterious white splatter:
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3631/3327257820_d54cfe7945.jpg?v=0">
as well as swirl marks and scratches
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3626/3326421485_bf8b85c425.jpg?v=0">
So, I started off with some heavy clay work
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3618/3326421791_7cf8ed253d.jpg?v=0">
Then dove into the swirl remover
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3279/3326421457_6290bcef51.jpg?v=0">
that left the car covered in residue
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3196/3326421657_5398d7113c.jpg?v=0">
which got wiped off with a microfiber cloth
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3335/3326421813_bc70728dca.jpg?v=0">
then finally it was time for some wax
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3603/3326421965_495479bbc3.jpg?v=0">
after applying it to the whole car, it had to sit for at least 30 minutes
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3648/3327257882_1977c80a9e.jpg?v=0">
So I used that time to go fly a kite with my kid (it was nap time for her little sis)

finally it was time to go back to work on the car - back to the microfiber cloth
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3585/3327258182_bc93dc79d5.jpg?v=0">
the finish on the car looks pretty good now
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3541/3326421705_2d509e9723.jpg?v=0">
no more funny white spots on the door
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3656/3327257748_641c32a38f.jpg?v=0">
fewer swirl marks
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3548/3327257610_cc0df490b5.jpg?v=1236128910">
yea for clean cars
