Looking to borrow a super telephoto lens for Sebring...
So I know this is a stretch, but I'm looking to borrow a lens that I can take with me to Sebring in a few weeks. My biggest best zoom lens is a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L IS USM which is more of an all-purpose than a true telephoto.
Something like the Canon EF 300mm f/2.8 L IS USM would be ideal to mount to my Canon 30D.
I know it is big "ask", but was wondering if anybody might be generous? I'm obviously in the Denver area...

This is the best route...
It's not that pricey, the are great to deal with and having it fully insured is a good thing on $6k lens.

How close can you get to the track at Sebring? I know at Road Atlanta...
there were only 2 places I really wanted more than 280 (70-200 with 1.4x converter) and that was at the esses, and at 10A/B when we were on the far side.. And even then, I got decently close.
but then again, RA is probably different than Sebring...
I shot this from the far side of 10A/B at 250mm... Pretty far off the track..

You can pick up a used one on fredmiranda...
Keep it for a month, and sell it when you're done. If you work out a good deal with the seller, it's likely to cost you very little if anything at all. Just have to outlay the cash for the interim.
