drivers license is REVOKED in NY state, what can I do? help :(
My license is revoked in NY state until Sept 2006, what are my options? I need to commute to work 5 days a week between Staten Island and NJ 
For those who have been in my shoes before please be so kind as to give me some advice...I should mention that the revocation is for speeding tickets from 2005 which are all paid up, but the DMV still wont clear it

please be more specific..payment has nothing to do with it..
How many points do you have? What was the speed you were convicted with?
What was the time period tht you got them in?
DId you have a lawyer and work out a plea?

Sorry to say.. you screwed yourself. Its automatic with that many in a short time.
BUT, you may be able to get a lawyer to vacate two of them and have them re-tried. He needs to be VERY well connected in the specific court you are in. Its been done.. it will cost.
You can't get a license in another state when you are revoked in NY. There may be exceptions but I don't know which.

yes you can apply for a license that will ONLY allow you to go to work or to school if you prove you
need to....look into it..I think you have to go in front of a judge and ask for this....there is also a time restriction on when you can drive as well...
