Has anyone put a mute switch behind the blank ESP button slot on a 2000 S4, i am interested need....

to mute the V1...im sorry i wasn't clear, when the V1 goes off...
i was thinking of pressing that button to mute it(since it is blank) instead of reaching to the unit, Mike maybe you have some ideas

My Plan:
disassemble the remote display unit i have and use the mute from that and place the button behind that blank button(ESP on 01'+) so when the V1 goes off, i can just reach to that instead of the unit and this way that button will be used for something =P i just need help on how to get inside and behind the dash and then plug in the line to the remote display splitter in my fuse box and VOILA!
