that's correct. i think it was one of the first mods i ever did on the car
relatively straight forward, but a PITA nonetheless. i say its a good 6-7 hour job. take it easy when you're seperating the cluster, be careful when you're soldering the LEDs on the back of the tachometer. Make sure they don't touch which is difficult in tight space. also tapping the ecu wires is a bear since so many wires have similar color codes and all bunched together makes it hard to solder.
mine is no longer functional, since i had to cut all the wires prior to pulling the motor. i haven't and probably will not reconnect the wires again since i find having vacuum readings almost as important as having boost readings.
i was all giddy and proud after completing such a tedious project
but after having experienced with both types of boost gauge. i think its important to have vacuum reading as well. just my 2 cents.
