Between a rock and a hard place....................Help needed

My inspection is past due. CEL has been one for 2 months. New engine wiring harness is on order from the good people @ KMD.

Does anyone know a shop that would pass my inspection, understanding that my CEL is getting fixed but is beyond my control and my shop?

CAR: Audi A4 2.8. Coming out of bodyshop today with new hood and resprayed bumper.

generaly you can go in and fail and then have 30 days to repair

How do you know the engine wire harness will correct the CEL light?

CEL could be bad O2 sensor or something catalytic converter related..

KMD diagnosed bad engine wiring harness>

new O2 sensor were put in over the summer and are working fine.

Not sure if this is true, but my understanding is that no inspection facility (even an independant

shop) can print an inspection sticker unless they plug the state's inspection computer into the OBD II of your car and see readiness and no MIL (CEL). Therefore, the computer prevents inspection places from passing people who shouldn't pass by not printing the sticker. But I could be misinformed...
