Anybody here work in the accounting/finance field in Morris County??
I'm thinking of making a move in the next 6 months and wanted to see if anybody had any recommendations based on their experiences. Any feedback (positive or negative) on employers/positions would be appreciated. Thank you.

that is a broad field, can you be more specific?
that could range from corporate accounting to investment banking.
There are alot of pharmaceutical companies in the area, but most of them are in cost cutting mode.

I wanted to keep it broad so that I could get a lot of responses. I'd like to hear them all. Just for some reference, I have internal audit experience, project controller experience and corporate treasury experience. I'm leaning more towards an accounting biased position, as I have a BS in accounting and a CPA, however, my masters is a concentration in finance so I would be qualified for treasury, investing, liquidity management positions as well. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you are more suited towards corporate type of postions
in which case there are alot of Fortune 500 type companies in that area -- Schering Plough, Pfizer, Wyeth, M&M Mars to name a few. I know AT&T, Exxon and Boeing used to be in that area too, but not sure if they still are.
Either way, there should be a fair amount of opportunites in that area.

where is Morris County? Is that by Morristown? I work in that field, and have an old coworker...
who has a relative good seat at Barclay's Capital up in that area. What kind of position are you looking for? Investment Accounting that kind of area?
