Lost $1500 and that is not even counting what the wifey lost.
We were down there three weeks ago and I was up about $1200 but my winnings cancelled out my wife's losses, in total we walked away, including meals, +100. Not this weekend...... booooooooo
I could have got a great suspension for my car instead........ sniffle sniffle...
At least we got to stay in two suites, one at the Hilton and one at the Trop.

2nd -- read "Bringing Down the House"
Very entertaining read about how MIT math students developed a system for counting thru a 4 deck shoe. It's urban legend as to whether it's a true story or not. However, the stats they have on the odds vs the house will basically cure any desire to ever gamble again.

What game were you playing? You can sit at a craps table for hours with just $200
Keep going up and down, but get to play for a long time. Blackjack can eat your stack quick esp. if you get a ****ty dealer.
Did you hear anything about the Trop losing it's casino license while you were there?

I was playing the Texas Holdem Bonus table game, it is a pretty fun game and you only
play against the dealer and not anyone else at the table.
Last two times I have been down I played the same game and was probably up about 2k in total. Usually the game is extremely fun and lasts for hours, but this weekend was just horrible. Practically no bonus hits and the dealer was just pulling **** out of their *****.
The bonus is a one time bet on your pocket cards and you get paid odds on what they are, AA is 30 to 1, AK suited is 25 to 1, AQ suited 20 to 1, AK unsuited is 20 to 1, KK, QQ, JJ is 10 to 1, AQ or AJ unsuited is 5 to 1, and any pair 10 and below is 3 to 1.
When the bonuses start hitting for you it is great. At one point I was playing against the dealer by myself and the bastard hit four bonuses in like 10 or 12 hands, AA, AK, AQ and AJ and I got NOTHING!!!
O well, and I have heard nothing about them losing their license except for what has been in the news. From what I understand they will be under new ownership but that isnt supposed to happen till sometime next year. That is why things have been so bad for them, current mgmt doesnt care.
