Default Leather looks to be tearing on the E-Brake

So i got in my car this morning to move it and noticed a small tear in the leather on the e-brake. Right where the button is at the end. Car has 1200k miles on it, is this covered by Audi?

Thoughts? I can take pics and post when i get home tonight.

thanks

Default Wait! 1200K miles?? If it's 1,200 miles, they WILL cover it...

..as long as it's not obvious that you did it by scraping it, or something similar.

1,200 miles on the car... I had Audi do the SS install last thrus, so they may have dinged it while pulling the shifter out. The SS needs to be adjusted a bit as well.

I'll give them a call and have them check it out.

Whats the difference with the RS4 handle?

Default found it searching

Go it, thanks... I searched a bit and found it. I think I'm going to stay with the regular old leather version, unless that RS4 one is more durable..

Default I don't think it is any more durable, its just more expensive

And with the makup you'll likely want to get the shifter as well so the style matches. Besides, if you can get it under warranty, there's nothing wrong with the stock one.

Default If they installed the SS, then I believe they are at fault

But being the dealership, I'm sure they'll try to wiggle their way out of it

Default Best way to handle it is NOT to blame anyone...

..try and work it out smoothly with the service advisor.
