Another trash pickup day goes by with something getting into my trash overnight
Its annoying because I went out on Saturday and bought a new trashcan which has a stronger locking mechanism, put allt he garbage in heavy duty trash bags and figured I was safe.
So to the owner of this dog 'F U'.
Next trash day I add bungee cords.
After that, barbed wire and pepper spray.
Use it on the pigeons that raid the bird feeder....
After trying everything else with no luck....
I had a racoon problem at my last place and those buggers were relentless. They chewed holes in my lid and no lock on the lid kept them out
The only issue i have is that the racoon only attacks my garbage and not anyone elses.
Huge family too. 6-8 of them and they slept in the maple tree in my backyard. They seemed to be the most garbage active at dusk.
They may simply be creatures of habit and once they nail down a source they stick to it. I used to talk to my neighbors about it and ask and they would be like... " theres raccoons here??" meanwhile I had a whole clan in my 20' deep backyard!
I actually managed a few picture of them here and there. It became like a game too. I even fed them leftovers so they wouldnt go in the can and knock it down.
Now keep in mind, this was an urban like suburban area so its not like I lived in the woods.

Well I guess I leave it in the garage til morning and hope they eat my neighbors. Or stake it out and see whats up and also use the bungee cords.
