Is it possible that I need new rear brakes (pads & rotors) at 15k miles??
I turned in a Jetta GLI with 45k miles when i picked up this car, and never had brake issues with the Jetta or the previous VW's i had.
You can physically feel groves on both rear rotors, as well as see them when you get close enough.
Thoughts?? am i fkuc? it goes in for the 15k service very soon..

The miles are almost all driving 250m plus trips. NYC to Albany/Saratoga, and Vermont.
Fronts seem ok.
Rear pads may have been exposed to excessive heat. Leaving the parking brake on during one trip will do it. Pads may have cracked causing the rest of the damage. Alternatively, the ebrake cable might be binding, leading to the same.
Finally, calipers could be binding, causing the pads to overheat, etc. But again, it would be very rare to see both left and right doing the same thing at the same time.
The picture isn't terribly clear, but it appears the rotors could be scored. If they are not scored, then you're worrying about nothing.

Its going in for the 15k service, I'll see what the dealer has to say. This seems really odd though for both, and with only 15k miles.
thanks, I'll let you know what the dealer has to say.

When were you there last? This date and miles may be helpful if you wish to build a warranty claim.

Here's hoping Audi covers it. :-)
