So I've been toying with the idea of a replacement TT...
but I just went outside to finish cleaning up from washing the car earlier, and I found myself spending almost 30 minutes just walking around the car looking at it at different angles under the orange street lights :-)
I don't know if I can sell my car, as much as I've been drooling over Dolomite Gray.

haha well here's my train of thought... (slightly long)
My car's old and beat up... dings/dents/scratches, front/rear bumpers are hit from parallel parkers, windshield has a crack, I'm on original clutch and suspension at 106k, common instrument cluster problem is kicking in, etc. Basically, a lot of money has to go into it soon if I want to keep caring about it at all.
I've been wanting to get a second car as a daily and trying to keep it around 20k (looking at 07 A4, Volvo S40, Acura TSX, etc) but am realizing I may not want to have the responsibilities of a second car like insurance.
However, I also can't see myself without a TT, so I figured if I leave the Brooklyn area that is destroying my current car, I can sell this one, swap the parts, only have to finance very little over a few years, and have a car that is 3-4 years newer with 1/3 of the mileage that may possibly even be CPO'd.
That way, I can start fresh in a city with nicer roads and take care of it better from the start.
I'd just pick up where I left off with those mod plans... :-)

That's where I was originally going...
but I'm in the territory of not even wanting to preserve my car until I put the money into it to make it worth preserving again, which is why I started thinking about this. This would only happen if I settled back in Rochester, where being a DD wouldn't be bad at all.
