Default Ques. for you real estate experts: Is there any difference between the real estate franchises, or is
it pretty much luck of the draw based on he individual broker?

Probably a stupid question, I know.

But my secretary is a Century 21 agent in MD and she's pushing C21 agents in VA at me.

Default AFAIK, each office has certain goals that they need to meet
Much like an insurance agency. They may all operate under the Nationwide name, but each agency has specific goals for number of policies sold, types of policies, etc.

I'm sure real estate offices work the same way.

Default She will likely get a good referral fee if you go with her company.
When buying, it is all dependant on the indivual agent.

When selling, you want to go with a company that has a lot of buyers, and controls a lot of traffic through your area. Buyers are often steered towards sellers from the same company.

Default Referral! But they only get that fee if you close.
Signing a contract with the agent doesn't mean a thing, you have to close on a house.
