coolant leak...
About oil change I post a new thread above.
The PTO drives the a/c, coolant, and power steering pumps. It's a bitch to get in there. We were having a hard time getting to the power steering pump under the car without having to remove too much stuff.
But I imagine the coolant pump has to have the entire front taken off. The alternator sits on the bank 1 side, or the passenger side, right underneath the intake valves.
It's possible that the coolant sprung a leak near the alternator, since the alternator has it's own COOLANT SOURCE! I know, it's amazing, our alternators actually have their own cooling system. It's run off the same pump that cools the engine, but the pipe runs underneath the radiator and feeds the alternator. Very cool stuff.
Shouldn't take him any more than a day I would think. Let's just hope they don't have to remove the axles to get to it. That means alignment, and that's a PITA.
